director of the Department of Ethnic Affairs and Federative
Relations of Russian Federation Ministry.

1997 through 1999 -
plenipotentiary representative of
the President of Russian
Federation in the Republic of North Osetia -
Alania and Republic of
Ingushetia.

In
April of 1999, Mr. Kalamanov
was appointed to head a Federal Migration Agency
Of
Russian Federation.

February 17 of 2000, he was assigned as a Special Representative of the
President Of Russian Federation
on reserving Rights and Freedom of human
and citizens

Chechen Republic.

July of 2000 – Special Representative of
President of Russia on
