THOSE WHO USED CUNEIFORM CHARACTERS
By
A. L. Kulsky
A gem of ancient Assyrian culture, legend of Gilgamesh and his friend
Enkidu was discovered among the ruins of the grand clay cuneiform library of
Ashurbanipal in the devastated capital Nineveh (Ashur, Retennu) in 6th century
BC. Generally Gilgamesh who, "traveled far and wide in the world and who
went through everything and who broke the word about the days before the great
flood..." was the embodiment of Shumer. Therefore both kings and Chaldean
magicians tried to imitate his image during three thousand years.
Chaldean kings had their helmets sparkling with gold, and their queens
had decorated garments. White stone fortresses would arise in mountains and
deserts. The social and economic structure remained the same for thousand years.
We are still amazed to see the wealth found in kings' tombs in the Chaldean town
of Uhr. Over 200 tons of gold! And these treasures had been in the ground for
over 4,5 thousand years.
But what is really amazing is what Chaldean magicians knew and what they
did in their remote zikkurates!
In the British Museum in London one can find a cylindrical Shumer seal
(under No. C- 239) of a very strange meaning. It displays a scene where God
Marduk hands some labor tools like sickle or harrow over to the people. This
5,000 years old seal would have been just a general scientific concern if it had
not depicted our solar system in its full layout and with much precision as
well. It was Jupiter and Saturn with rings. .
But, also it has the tenth planet there indeed! This planet has nothing
to do with the legendary Phaeton which always was a popular name in the history
while this planet, Marduk, has been no less famous and yet most inaccessible so
far.
If the scene is true, then the orbit of planet Marduk is never found in
the ecliptic line. It revolves against the other planets as it has the angle of
inclination equal to 134°. This means that Marduk moves in the direction
opposite to the other planets. On the other hand, this planet travels the nearer
to the Sun in one point than Mars. As for its farthest point Marduk travels
virtually into the universe.
Even the Chaldean magicians thought that it should take nearly three
thousand years before the planet Marduk makes its full travel path. The year of
its appearance is called Marduk. Now American scientists are trying to find this
hypothetical planet. The probability analysis shows that the momentum of the Sun
is higher than the momentum of all planets of the solar system. Therefore the
existence of another planet like exotic Marduk would make more feasible the
hypothesis of the Solar system origin. However Americans suppose it is almost
impossible to monitor it's passing across the universe by modern techniques so
far.
The cuneiform points out that Chaldean magicians watched this planet as
many as six times in their history! If that is the case, then only one
conclusion might be drawn: Chaldeans watched the sky and handed information
over to their successors over nearly 20,000 years. Just think!
